The time has come for me to say goodbye to my blog! As happy as I was to begin it, i'm equally happy to say goodbye. I feel like this blog did it's purpose. It lead me to a place in my life where happiness and joy seem constant. Even when obstacles come our way, God's given me such a peace and i've held on to it for so long that it seems to be a part of me now. I am forever grateful. Before I began this post I looked back at everything i've done with this blog and was left in tears. I am just SO incredibly blessed with the life God has given me. 2017 has been our year. Our year of change, complete happiness, complete falling in love with Jesus, complete following in love with ourselves, and complete falling in love with our journey. How great is our God!? I have enjoyed reliving moments as I document them here but I have also really enjoyed steering away from the web world and putting that time into other aspects of my life. As we come closer to 2018 I want to enter the new year as connected to God and my family as possible. Which means time for things like this and social media need to take a seat. I've said I was going to back off social media before but i've failed at that haha. I've never been in such a happy and content place in life though so I feel like it's the perfect time to stick to it. My job, my family, my friends, my hobbies, my goals.. they are all so wonderful right now. I want to take time to really engulf myself in them. With all of that said I would like to thank each and every one you that take the time to read these and leave such sweet comments! I have enjoyed reading them. As we get closer to December, our family calendar continues to fill up! We have SOOOO much to look forward to in Decemer and towards the end of the year. Carsen will continue to have weekly man church, i'll continue to meet with my girls for dinner once a week, we will continue to gather and worship with our church group, we will continue to worhship Him fully, and we will continue to work and play and love this life we've been given. 2018 holds some exciting promises! It's going to be wonderful! My birthday is in December and my sweet husband is taking me on a getaway with our little man! Family trips are my FAVORITE! There is going to be lots of celebrating Jesus in the upcoming month and a lot of fun Christmas activities. I pray your December is beautiful and magical and that you understand the true meaning of Christmas. My exercise routines are changing!! Less gym time, more at home workouts and running! I feel like I live at the gym so only saying hello to it a few days a week is going to be different but exciting. I've never had so much self love before. I love who I am and how my body feel strong and yet small. I pray that this stage of happiness in life continues. I love it here. :)
Love,
Elise

Currently laying on the couch watching my sweet boys nap and admiring all the Christmas decor we put up today! Thanksgiving 2017 was easily our best one yet! Cooking with Crew was SO much fun and our little guy stole the show with family! He is such a happy boy and has just the best personality! Each year we begin Thanksgiving day writing down all of our blessings. Y'all! This year our list was SO long! It left me in tears and was such a perfect moment of gratefulness towards our Lord. Being able to live in such a season of happiness and pure joy is a huge blessing! All the valleys and mountains we find ourselves with can never be compared to His love and His grace! Keeping that close to my heart has lead to a powerful and unfailing happiness. We spent two days celebrating Thanksgiving before coming home to enjoy and rest before back to work, school, and classes! I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited to get back to work. The time between Thanksgiving break and Christmas break is always really fun as a teacher! If I thought our November calendar was full I was wrong! Our December calendar is packed with so much fun! It really is the most wonderful time of the year!!!!! Yay!!!! Happy Holidays!! I will make my last post on this site shortly. It's been fun keeping you all in the loop and I've loved reliving moments by posting them here... but this AMAZING year is looking to be beat by next year already and some privacy as technology free times seem like a good idea! Pictures from our week below!
TWO!!! Our boy turned two a few days ago. I'm so obsessed with him and his sweet personality. I feel so blessed to be his mom and even more proud of the little gentleman he is. He is so stinkin' smart and he uses please, thank you, excuse me, and blessed you like nobody's business! His birthday party was SO fun!! A little over 59 people showed up to shower our boy with love and presents. So. Many. Toys!!! After his party my parents came over and my dad and him set up our train under the tree. Yes, our Christmas tree is already up and is on allllll day! 🎄😍😍😍!!! My favorite memories of Christmas growing up was setting up the train under the tree with my daddy. Watching Crew do this with his Popeye was magical!! We then went and ate dinner before opening all of his amazing presents! The next day he woke up feeling pretty crappy. We had his two year checkup anyways so I was thankful his nasty cough started when it did. Thank you Jesus for allowing our birthday boy to enjoy his birthday before he got sick! Turns out allergies lead to croup. We cuddled all day on Monday and watched Harry Potter. By that night he was almost back to normal! Yay!! We spent the last few days enjoying family time at home! Now we are preparing for lots of family time and THANKSGIVING!!!! So excited for the next couple of day! We have so much to be thankful for this year. So. So. Much!! Our best year yet!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Workout update! For the past two weeks I haven't stepped a food in the gym! 😱 it's felt so weird but soooo nice at the same time! My workouts have been at home and have included daily runs with my sweet boy! I'm so so happy with my body. I've never felt so confident and just in love with my beauty and my flaws. It's extremely nice to not feel pressured to hit the gym and instead have a weight workout in our garage! It's also really nice to pour myself a class of wine and not worry about the calories! My weight is staying around 102/103 and my muscle gain is 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Excited to get back in the gym on Thanksgiving break and start a new workout plan! 😉😃💪🏻 We will try for another baby Ellexson middle to late 2018 so getting my body in the best shape it can be is my new goal! Enjoy feeling confident and just keep pushing :)
What a crazy busy week and weekend we had! So fun of fun and going!!! Pictures from one amazing weekend below! Thank you Jesus for this life!!!! Best. Year. Ever!
A great week and weekend to begin our November! Crew got his cast off Friday! The doctor said it healed perfectly! Crew was using his arm like normal within one hour of getting it off. Praising Jesus for fast and easy healing. Also praising him for the financial blessing and filling this experience with joy and fun! Friday night was date night with friends! We had a blast !!!! So much fun. Saturday we went into Rockwall for lunch and shopping. I love spending the day with just my boys. We came home and worked on Crew's birthday things and watched Harry Potter 😍 This coming week is filled but should be fun! Next weekend we go to the Stockyard and then we are hosting a friendsgiving at our house! 🤗😊😍 Feeling amazing!
IHalloween was a blast!!! I failed at taking pictures Halloween night but we had a blast. Crew even loved passing out his candy that he got! 😂 IT'S NOVEMBER!!!!!! I love love love this month. So much fun to look forward to and just overall happiness! Two friendsgivings, two Thanksgivings, Crew's super exciting birthday party, couple date nights, a staycaation, Thanksgiving break, a really exciting change in my workout routine, and much more! I'm so excited and thankful! Crew gets his cast off in a few days! We've really been great with this experience and it's been amazing to see how strong and happy he is under these circumstances. Thank you to Jesus for turning annotnsonfun sitatuation into joy no matter what!
photo dump below from one amazing weekend! There are no other words! Life is plain amazing!
What a week yall! I feel like 2017 has been our year. We've been in a wonderful season of life for the majority of the year and I feel like the devil has worked hard these last two weeks to try and steal our joy. He failed miserably. Making me stronger and happier and more thankful is all he has done!! Nothing will stealing joy. He is my strength in the tough times! Last weekend ended with a play date with Crew's BFF and a watch party for the Cowboys on Sunday at our house! Monday was a staff PD day and I hosted some fifth grade math teachers around the district in my room! It was awesome to be in the leadership role. Tuesday I had someone steal a significant amount of money out of my bank account. I was not happy but our bank is amazing and the funds are already back! That same day I had a half day for a doctor appointment. Afterwards I met my parents, Carsen, and Crew at the mall to eat and shop! It was a lot of fun!! My dad got to pick Crew up from preschool and he LOVED seeing Popeye at the door! 🙌🏻 Poor Crew threw up in the middle of the night on Wednesday. He has never thrown up anything but liquid so this was a first. Plus he is in a cast so that added some characterization to this situation. 😜 thankfully my incredible husband cleaned everything up so all I had to do was give Crew a bath and snuggle him on the couch. My husband yall. He is my everything!!!! ❤️ Thankfully Crew's tummy was just upset from extra mucus. He has molars coming in and allergies! The next night he slept wonderful! Thursday night we had a girls night! Always SO SO fun! Beyond thankful for all the laughs, the tears, and the never ending group texts. This weekend we have family coming in and two Halloween parties!! Halloween is next week and girls trip is next weekend! Yay!!! So devil, God always wins!! My workouts have been pretty stable! I'm looking into something new that I'm very excited about :) my weight has been at 103 for about two weeks now! Less than I want to weigh but my trainer says that's okay so hey to all the yummy pumpkin foods!!! Oh and the temps this morning are in the 50s!! I'm in boots and a scarf! My happy place! 😍🙌🏻
Amazing weekend happening right now!! Friday after a really good day at work Carsen and I headed to Tyler to drop Crew off at DeeDee & Popeye's place! They rented us a cabin for the weekend on Lake Palestine and it's been such a beautiful getaway with my hubs! We met Crew and my parents at our favorite (The Grove) for lunch before heading back into the woods! Currently sitting on the porch sipping coffee and enjoying this amazing weather! A very fun week coming up and even more excited weekend! Life is good 🙌🏻🖤🤗
How great is our God?!! Crew hasn't let his broken arm slow him down once! We took him to a ortho today and was met with even better news! He got a blue cast and will only be in it for two weeks! Yay!! He is so proud of his cast and I'm so proud of him for being such a big boy! We enjoyed lunch on a patio after his appointment and DeeDee treated him to a cupcake and a new toy! If you're wondering what happened to Crew read below! This weekend me and the hubs rented a cabin and Crew is staying with DeeDee and Popeye! So much fun coming up!
What a fun and really interesting/scary weekend. Saturday we went to Crew's BFF birthday party. Crew played so hard and had a blast! He went down the bounce house slide for the hundredth time and landed wrong on his arm. Crew immediately screamed for me and cried while he held his arm close to his chest. Instant fear and tears from me. My rock of a husband kept me calm and everyone at the party swarmed us with love and help. We decided to take Crew to the ER because he wouldn't move his arm away from his chest and kept holding it with his other hand. There wasn't anything visibly wrong with it but we wanted to get it checked out anyways. After some time at the ER the doctor came in and told us it was a buckle fracture. He told us this was the less sever type of fracture and would heal quickly. Crew will wear a splint for 3-4 weeks and then will be good as new! Praise Jesus!!!! Look below for my FB post to read more but I am so so thankful that God was with us the entire day. We could not be more blessed to have such a enormous support system. My husband once again was my rock and helped me tackle this obastacle with faith and a smile. Our sweet boy was laughing and singing by the time we got him into the car. A day that shouldn't go down as a bad day will go down as a day of love and victory!! This day gave us so so much to be thankful for. Crew slept great last night and has acted bormal since the splint was put on! It hasn't slowed him down one bit! 3-4 weeks and he will be good as new! Just in time for his birthday party and Thanksgiving! We are also praising God that we have a good $$ cushion under us so in times like these we don't have to worry about the $. Nice try Satan, but God always wins!!! 🙏🏻👌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Sunday night update: Crew has been amazing with his splint all day!!! He is so normal acting that I've had some "stop moving so much" moments lol. He doesn't even act like it's there! Praise Jesus for that!!! We had some friends and family visit today! We even had someone bring us lunch and Starbucks! 😍😍😍 We are so so blessed and so thankful that this bump in the road is feeling more and more like nothing! 🙌🏻🙏🏻😍💙
The weather today!!!! How incredible does it feel outside?! I woke up very excited to put my sweater and boots on! I really love this time of the year. The feeling of Fall and Winter make me all cozy inside! Sunday we enjoyed church then went for Mexican food! I woke up 103.8 lbs so I needed to skip my workout for the day and eat carbs haha! Sunday night we dropped Crew off at church and met up with our tribe to discuss the morning sermon. I am so blessed by these people. They came into my life at just the right time and they constantly fill my heart! We are actually waiting on word that a new little member of our tribe is here!!! Come on Maddie! 💗😍 Monday was Fair Day which meant a lazy day for me! I enjoyed sleeping in and waking Crew up around 8. His sweet little "MAMA!" made my morning. He was so excited to see me. We danced and sang and watched our favorite movie, Moana! He helped me with a load of laundry (literally he helps! Everything but putting them away) he went down for a nap and I worked on his birthday party! I enjoyed watching TV and sipping my coffee. My mom and dad came down and took us out to lunch! I love my parents. I love how close we are and I especially love how much they love my little family. Dad and I ran around together for a bit and that was so fun! I am such a daddy's girl! When we got back mom played with Crew while I got a good gym workout in then came home to enjoy the rest of the day with my family! It was a day of reflection for me. I loved every blissful second of it. I couldn't be a stay at home but I really did completely love that day! I think days off are so much sweeter since I'm a working mom. I definitely enjoy them fully but I'm SO glad for my mom who is a stay at home grandma for us! Crew is so loved. My mom's heart is full because she gets to watch our boy (and do our dishes), and my heart is full because I get to teach and be a mom. Thank you Jesus for this life! You built a life for me that has completely taken my breath away. Today was a good day at work and tonight I have class with a few of my work besties! Wednesday is date night with my hubs and Thursday is Mexican food and margs with the girls! We have another birthday party filled weekend to look forward to! Glory to God for our full, amazing life!
Oh and my weight is back to 104. One more pound to gain! 👌🏻😜
Oh and my weight is back to 104. One more pound to gain! 👌🏻😜
Another great week is behind us! Sunday me and the girls went to Canton and spent the entire day shopping and laughing. We realized when we got home we didn't take any photos! The only one we took we all look sweaty and gross haha! Monday was spent preparing for Carsen's birthday with little man! Tuesday we celebrate my favorite person's birthday!! Crew and I left him surprised to wake up to and then Tuesday night mom watched Crew so we could go on a date night! 🎉 Thursday at work my students took their first DCP and they killed it! I love seeing progress and watching them grow! It makes my heart so happy! Friday was a great relaxing day! Came home and we cooked our first Marley Spoon meal! It was delicious!! Movie night with my boys was loved as always. Our weekend is filled with birthday parties and friends! Monday is fair day and I'm really looking forward to a day off with my boy! My workouts have been GREAT! I'm upping my weights and focusing more on lifting. My body is exactly what I want! I'm in the best shape of my life and it makes me really really happy! Lean, some muscle, and 10% body fat! I'm kinda over the running kick I was on 🤣 I really enjoyed it when it was hot and the sweat would pour but as the temps cool down I find myself craving more weights and more family walks instead! Looking forward to a nice morning walk now with my boys because this weather is GREAT! My coffee cup is filled and we're headed out the door! Happy weekend!! 😀
I'm currently laying on the couch watching one of my favorite movies, watching Crew sleep peacefully in his crib, and sipping coffee. So relaxing and giving me time to really thank God for these moments and all the other moments he has filled my life with. This morning we woke up at 8, got ready, ran through Starbucks for pumpkin bread, and 7/11 for free coffee. We spent our morning walking, sipping coffee, taking photos, and looking at the most beautiful pumpkins! The weather was so fall like and it was amazing! Afterwards we went and grabbed my favorite cheat meal before coming home to relax. Carsen went with his guy friends to a Ranger's game tonight and me and my boy had a date night filled with coloring, a workout, and cuddles/movies. It's been such a great day!! Tomorrow it's the girls turn to have fun and we are headed to Canton for the day before we all meet tomorrow night to dig deeper into God's words together. This is my life?! Thank you Jesus! We are so loving this life you have created for us!
BUSY!!! What a crazy fun and busy weekend and week we have had. This past week has been so wonderful but PACKED! Monday night I had ETIP class until 8, Tuesday night was girls night out for Mexican food and margs, Wednesday night we babysat our precious girl, and Thursday night was family date night! Friday night is RELAXATION MODE at our house! Movies and junk food for the win! This weekend is packed full of fun and I can't wait to share pictures! Ranger's game, arboretum, and Canton with the girls! Yay!!! Workout update! I am still below my weight goal of 105. I am also falling below 10% body fat and that is NOT good, especially since we are not done having kiddos. SOOO I took a week off of running and the gym and we just walked daily and I did some short at home workouts with my boy. It was so nice to not focus on that this week! I am still right below 105 but I ate healthy (with some cheat sweets) and got 3 miles walking in daily so I am feeling happy, strong, and not too small! HAHA! So much fun is coming up in the month of October and next week we celebrate the most amazing man's birthday!! Stay tuned for tons of pictures and some exciting news! :D
PS- So people have been asking about us having another baby like crazy lately. I dont mind because we are very secure with out decision but babysitting sweet Preslie really helps me stay strong in my decision and makes me sooo glad we have decided to wait another year. I adore watching Crew play big brother with P. He is SOOO sweet and extremely helpful. BUT I do miss being able to only focus on him. I find myself scopping him up when she leaves and being so thankful to get to love on him and focus on him only in this super exciting stage hes in. P gives me that baby fix and shows me where my heart is and we completely adore being able to be with her! God is good! His plans are great and we are so thankful for his direction!!
TGIF and God bless!!

Wow life is busy!! This past weekend I woke up on Friday a pound down and did not mean to do that so I talked with my trainer and he said that I needed to let my body rest the entire weekend and eat some cheat meals... YES SIR! It was a great weekend that didn't involve anything but daily walks with Crew and some YUMMY food! My mom was incredible and did all our dishes and cleaned our house for us on Tuesday. Even better she made us dinner and it was healthy and delicious. This week has been packed and I'm so tired but I'm excited for the weekend! Looking at our calendar we have fun planned almost every weekend until January! Talk about fun and busy! Tomorrow (Thursday) is going to be fun! Crew has teddy bear manners day at school, math is super exciting, and tomorrow night is girls night out! Woo! We're going with friends to a air show on Saturday and movie night Frisa night. Thank you Jesus for filling our lives. We are blessed beyond compreshension.
photo dump below because life has been crazy good, fast, and filled! It's about to get even more filled and even better!!! Stay tuned 😃😍🤗🙏🏻
If you are in North Texas you know how INCREDIBLE our weather is right now. I mean it's basically fall in my eyes 😝 There is something about that crisp air feeling that makes an ordianary walk to check the mail.. just blissful! God really fills my heart during the last 4 months of the year. It's just so easy for me to feel amazing and I'm thankful for those little daily moments that fill my heart. Crew's first week of preschool was GREAT! I am so thankful God opened a door for us at his preschool. We are already so impressed. The second week of school was another great one! My kids from last year come and give me hugs every day after school and I'm building such great relationships with my kiddos this year! I also am SO excited about everything our school is doing this year! BIG year for us!! Carsen got all dressed up Friday for something super exciting! Crew's allergies were not nice to him Friday so we had a cuddle movie night at home. Saturday morning we woke up to hearing Crew singing in his crib. We brought him into our bed and cuddled. I will forever remember these times: they are so sweet. We went and enjoyed Latham's Bakery in downtown. Our downtown is stepping it up and it was so nice to sit outside and enjoy time with my boys. We got ready and went to Rockwall for fall clothes shopping and Mexican food! We got home around 3 and Crew immediately went down for a nap. I got a fast 3 miles in before coming home to do weights. I meant to take pictures during my home workouts and at the gym but I failed 🤣 At the gym I'm constantly lifting, talking, and totally in the zone so my phone never comes out of my bra (it has a built in compartment lol) I'll do better this week haha! I was looking through my FB profile photos and realized I am in the best shape of my life. I feel really beautiful.. most beautiful I've ever felt. I love my body! I hit my running goal and will blog about that later 🎉😀 but right now my phone is about to be put away. Our house smells like fall, pumpkin spice coffee is brewing, crew is busy coloring, and football is on the TV. God's blessings all around. Tonight is backyard movie night with our tribe! Happy Saturday!!
Crew's first day at preschool went AMAZING!! His teachers commented on how smart he already was and spoke about his sweetness when Carsen picked him up. He napped on his nap mat when the other kiddos napped and ate his lunch. I am so proud of him and so excited for all the fun his preschool has planned. The weather y'all is feeling like fall!!! Woo!! Excited to spend this weekend enjoying the weather! I am also excited to up my miles in this cooler weather and order some new workout gear! Yay!! My classroom is in a portable and I especially love that during these cooler months! The feeling in the air is such a blessing! God is good!
y'all I just dropped my baby boy off at preschool! I am so excited for him!!! I am usually a ball of nerves but thanks to God I'm handling it very well. Carsen and I got him ready this morning and then me and my mom took him to school. I am so proud of him. He is already SO smart and I can't wait to see his little brain grow! I took the day off so me and mom could hang out together! Carsen will pick Crew up from school and I will be patiently waiting to hear about his first day! Currently mom and I are enjoying chick fil a after shopping at Target and before mani/Pedis! Happy Tuesday!!! It's a Tuesday to remember for us!!
Happy September! Quick update because our calendar really fills up from now until the end of the year so I might slack on updating this! September-December is my absolute favorite time of the year!!! I get so overly giddy and I love everything fall! I can't wait to get the fall feelings going! Candles are already lit and my pumpkin spice protein shake was amazing this morning! I thought it was awesome to end the first week of school on the first day of a new month. It was the best frist week yet! Everything went smooth, the kids worked hard, and we had fun! I'm currently sitting on the back porch with my hubs watching tv, and listening to the high school game across the highway! We are in heaven!!! Crew decided he wanted to use the potty today while I was at work and my sweet husband did a incredible job of getting Crew excited for potty training! We might be starting earlier than expected. Carsen wants to take charge of this so it was fun to watch while I ate my pint (well 1/4 of it) of Halp Top Pumpkin Pie! Tonight was lazy but tomorrow begins the fun! It's almost FALL!!!!! 🍁🖤😍🙏🏻🙌🏻
Oh my gosh.. my heart could explode after this week. It's been SO good to us! Work has been so smooth and the kids are SO sweet and such hard workers! They already have my heart!! I've left work at 3:30 every day and have come home happy and feeling energized to workout and play with my sweet boy. It's been a WIN of a week. Today when I got home we all got ready for Meet the Teacher! Crew begins preschool next week!! I AM SO EXCITED!! My teacher mommy heart is PUMPED! Meeting Crew's teachers went so well and he did not want to leave his classroom. With all the destruction in south Texas it's been amazing to see our state come together to help everyone affected! Our state is amazing. Faith in humanity = restored! God is good!!! A long weekend is coming. Woo!! 😀
Today was the official first day of school! You always hear how teachers get brunt out after 5 years but I can honestly say I've never been more in love with my "job!" I put job like that because most days it doesn't feel like a job. It feels like I'm there to serve and allow my heart to grow. Hands down best frist day!! Carsen had my clothes ironed for me this morning and Crew's happy morning self set me up in the best mood. My parents came down last night and brought us my favorite dinner and a few surprises. Y'all.. I'm so spoiled! Anyways.. when I got to work this morning I found a surprise on my desk from my principal! So sweet! The day went so smooth and these kids are SO sweet and excited to learn! During the day the office brought in little treats for the teachers and made us feel all kinds of special. The day went great! I came home and worked out before settling down with my sweet boy. On another note my heart is breaking for south Texas. I cannot imagine...we are constantly praying for everyone impacted by Harvey. We will give and donate and will not stop praying! Texas is so strong. Seeing everyone come together has been amazing. God bless Texas! Happy Monday!!!
Getting back to work has been so easy and great this year! Our school has such a wonderful team and it has never felt more like family. I've gotten faster with my runs and I've been able to go longer without stopping! I'm up to 3 miles! Yay! I have lost a few pounds that I did not want to drop but I'm finding my balance with eating more since I'm burning more calories! Carsen is finished with the table and it looks AMAZING!!! Meet the Teacher is tonight and I cannot wait to see those sweet faces! Carsen and will be going to Austin tomorrow for a concert and then we will be back to enjoy our weekend with our little boy Saturday night!Monday morning school begins! EEK!!! It feels like Fall outside today and my heart is happy and full of excitement! Thank you Jesus!!!
Back to work! The last few days of summer were so relaxing and well spent! Work began Wednesday! Guys.. I cannot describe how blessed I feel to work at my school. The staff, the students, the parents.. the best! We earned 4 distinctions for our work last year! FOUR! We are the only elementary school in our district that earned that many! Makes my eyes swell with tears because we have worked so hard and I am so proud of what our school has become! I am beyond excited to teach students I taught in third grade again! I can't wait to build their 5th grade math minds! It's Friday afternoon and I just got done with a home workout after a run with Crew in his stroller. I purchased a legit running stroller after he was born but returned it after realizing how awesome his regular Nuna stroller did! Crew loves working out with me when I workout at home and asks to go "running" when I get home after work! Gym workouts didn't happen this week but will happen this weekend and next week! Carsen has been building a desk for the office so I wanted to let him have that time this week. We have gone running daily after I get home and it's been such a great wind down time! I purchased a Apple Watch and I'm LOVING the motivation it's giving me!! I'm tired when I get home from work but this thing makes me want to crush my daily goals! I am so happy to report that the only thing I'm working out for these days is stress relief, and muscle gains! I love my body. I feel sexy (can I say that?!) I feel strong and I have the most confidence I've ever had. I'm excited to see how this Watch will push my workouts and my running! The weekend is upon us! God bless!!
i wanted to take a moment and share how completely blessed I feel to have my husband. He is a 110% hands on dad who cooks, cleans, spoils, and loves 24|7 without hesitation. Sunday a friend asked me if I wanted to have a girls day in Dallas. Carsen's response was of course, go! Have fun and be safe! Sunday was a blast with worship, followed by girls day in Dallas, then home to love on my boy before Carsen and I dropped him off at church to head to CG! It was a full day filled with God, pampering, girl time, laughs, cuddles from my boy, kisses from my hubs, friend time for Crew, and friend time for mommy and daddy. Fellowship filled our Sunday and I'm so blessed that God has filled my life with my tribe and my boys!! Today is my last Monday off. So many mixed emotions. I am PUMPED to get back to work but I will miss waking up slowly with Crew and cuddling on the couch for morning cartoons. It's been raining and it has been the best last Monday morning with my sweet sweet boy and husband! Reflect on how blessed you are! Big blessings and smal blessings. Do it daily! It's good for the soul. :)
summer 2017 is coming to an end. Hands down best summer of my life and it brings me to tears thinking how incredibly blessed we are. Our God is still greater though, how powerful is that?! We went to Tyler yesterday to see my parents and dad treated me to a spa morning. I cut my hair short and I'm in LOVE! We are spending the last days of summer enjoying friends/family! Workouts have been great and I'm getting faster with my running. Living in this life is wonderful phase and praising Jesus for all He is doing in our lives. Photos below!
if this summer gets any better.. my heart will explode! Yesterday we woke up and got ready for church not knowing just how big of a Sunday we would have. We dropped Crew off with his teacher, for coffee (Carsen got a donut- none for me!) and we headed to the sancueary. We sat with our tribe and sang our hearts out to the music. I cannot begin to describe my love for our church. When we hit the parking lot my smile is ear to ear! Before the sermon begins there is a mini concert of love for Jesus as we sing about how glorious he is! It is seldom that I am not left in tears before the music is over. His love completely overcomes me every single time. We sit and we listen to the sermon. It was about being baptized and what it meant and why we do it. Baptism has been on my heart all year and during the sermon I could feel myself getting more and more excited about it. We sang a couple more songs and then David said that there are towels in the front of the church and If you would like to be baptized to come grab a towel. The night was a celebration night with baptizism, food trucks, games, and fellowship. Carsen and I looked at teach other, smiles, and headed to the front to grab our towels. That's it. We wanted to shout from the rooftop that we love and will follow Our Lord! I texted my mom the exciting news on the way home and she sent me a reply 10 minutes later saying her and dad were coming (1.5 he drive) to watch. My parents are THE BEST!!!! Hands down the biggest blessing! We were baptized 08.06.17 TOGETHER in front of our church, family, friends, and our son. Best day of our lives. BEST DAY EVER!!!! We have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back! This world behind us, the cross before us.. no turning back! Pictures below!!!!
This morning I woke up feeling so blessed and so grateful for my life and that my heart will forever be filled with Jesus. My run this morning was the best one yet. I love running while I listen to godly music and this morning it felt even bette! My husband and son went with me to help me work in my classroom. YAY! It felt SO good to be back in my room! Then we went through Panera for Salads and then home to watch Big Brother from last night. Crew is about to be asleep for a nap and I'm off to weight training! My mind feels the best it's ever felt. I feel God with me and I love Him so much. He loves me and you more than we could ever understand thought! Happy Monday!!!

y'all! I got on the scale this morning wondering how I did on vacation since we are so good (good as in bad haha) and I didn't gain a pound! Actually lost half! I checked my running app (didn't look at that thing all vacation) and we ran/walked over 3 milkes each day! Talk about happy! Now I am not one to want to look super muscular but I do love how toned my legs looks since I began running and doing more stairs at the gym! Reflecting on this summer and my perception of myself I am in tears with how much self love and confidence I have. That's a God thing! I loved how I looked in bathing suits and how I felt this summer. I will continue to push my body to new workouts and new strengths this fall! I might work on some abs for next summer because I saw some side abs peeking through this morning. I love my strong mommy bod! Self love is so important! I just refilled my Herbalife protein shake order, my green tea stock, took a trip to Sprouts, and stocked up on my vitamins. I also ordered some fun face scrubs and body love products from Perfectly Posh! I think self love is pampering yourself as well. In the photo below I'm wearing lipsense and younique foundation! If you've never tried these pro it's you must! Fall fitness/fashion here I come! 👌🏻🙌🏻😜
We are currently on the road heading back to Texas after spending almost a week in the mountains. Big Cedar is one of my favorite places and it showed us all kinds of fun this time! We also enjoyed Branson and Eureka Springs! Reflecting on our way home and thanking God for another family vacation filled with memories and laughs. Of course it also held some fits and tons of eye rolls because we have a almost two year old! 😜 Crew is such a great traveler though! He did amazing and this mommy loved falling asleep to him every night and waking up to kisses and cuddles in the mornings.
The rest of our summer is going to be phone free and filled with relaxation back home! I've gotta a spa day in Tyler scheduled for next week thanks to my daddy. Big change coming to my hair! 😍 We have one more short getaway planned for the summer. Crew gets to stay with DeeDee while me and the hubs go with friends to Austin for the weekend! We are excited and Crew will be in the best hands!
Carsen's classes begin soon, I get back to work soon, and Crew begins preschool in September! Call us crazy but we are excited to get back into work and school. This summer has been our BEST one yet, but we are excited for our schedules to get back on track.
I am so excited to get back to work. I feel like last year totally reset my love of teaching and I couldn't be more pumped to get back with my work family and see the kids! This group of kids will be my third graders from two years ago. It was my favorite year in third grade! I am STOKED to teach them again!
My mom will be keeping Crew again on the days when he isn't in school and when Carsen is at UTD. Carsen will continue to meet with the guys for "man church" on Monday nights and I will meet my girls on Wednesday nights for mid week fun! Sunday mornings we worship and Sunday nights we will be with our tribe! My mom wants us to continue our weekly Tuesday day nights and I will hitting the gym more! My workouts and runs will continue as normal and I'm planning on doing morning workouts on M,W,F with evening runs on those days! Tuesday and Thursday will be gym nights and weekends we will enjoy food and relaxation!
Fall is my FAVORITE time of the year! People are already sending me Pumpkin Spice things and our sequoia might be loaded down with new fall decorations from vacation. 😉

Our Ranger game staycation was a huge success! We went thinking we would need to take turns walking around with Crew because he wasn't going to sit and watch the game. We were proven so wrong! He did amazing!! It was a blast and a win for us and the Rangers! He LOVED dancing and after each homer he asked for more! 😂By the third inning he had made friends with the people in front of us and they loved talking with him and watching him. He doesn't meet a stranger! Such a sweet loving boy! Pictures below! We are leaving this afternoon for our second favorite yearly getaway. Big Cedar here we come! We will be gone for a week! I am so excited for relaxation, exploration, and exercise in the most beautiful place! 🌲😍
Updating now because this coming week is a busy one! This week we have play dates scheduled, Ranger's game, and at the end of the week we leave for Big Cedar! Here are a few pictures from the last few days. They have been filled with God, family, and sweet friends. Workouts have been great but running in this heat is a challenge! I am proud of myself and loving how my body is responding. :) Excited to get another summer week going! Making sure I keep my eyes on things above. His blessings are overwhelming! 🙏🏻🙌🏻😁
This continues to be the best summer ever! Since July 4th we've worked on Crew's play room, played our butts off, shopped our butts off, and enjoyed family time! We got to watch Preslie and meet baby Adelyn! Crew is all about babies right now and was so dang cute and VERY helpful while we watched Preslie. He will make a great big brother one day! :) I just got back from a technology conference. My team enjoyed two days worth of learning and a mommy getaway! I am so PUMPED for my next school year! The conference was at the Sheraton by the Ranger's stadium so we had a blast and relaxed! Last night we got in bed at 7! Drank wine, ate chocolate, and watched tv until we fell asleep. Pure heaven! I got home to my boys earlier today and it was SO good seeing them! It was only two days away but I missed them so much! Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on right now so tomorrow we go shopping and enjoy a Wednesday brunch! We head to Tyler for the weekend on Thursday!
We had a big time celebrating the 4th this year! SO much fun!! We spent a long weekend in Tyler with my parents and then came back to home on the 3rd! We celebrated the 4th with great friends and had a blast! I would write more but we're off to Crew's first Kindermusik class today! Yay! Pictures above! 😀
We love being home! We have a little staycation coming up in a few weeks and next week Carsen and I celebrate our anniversary with a weekend away! I got on the scale this morning and put my weight into my fit pal app and was congratulated on dropping 10.6 lbs since early this year! Some pictures from our week and a few more from Galveston below. God is so good! Summer 2017 is already the best one yet...with so much still to look forward to.

We are currently heading home from our first getaway of the summer! It made for a epic first week of summer 2017! We left for Galveston on Monday. We stayed one night in The Woodlands and then Tuesday morning got up and headed to Galveston! We stayed at The San Luis from Tuesday-Friday. We LOVE The San Luis! Sitting on the balcony watching the pool and the ocean is my favorite thing to do. We checked into Hotel Galvez (where we got married almost 7 years ago) on Friday and checked out today, Sunday! Spending almost a week in Galveston was such a blessing. Leaving feeling so overwhelmed by God's love and plans for my life. Pictures from the past week below! 😁🌴☀️🐬
