OHOops.. I've been bad about posting! I've been busy though running and lifting weights, teaching my baby boy numbers and the alphabet, going on date nights with my husband, going on "Mommy and Me" date nughts while Carsen hangs with the guys, and I'm very much enjoying girl nights on Wednesday's! We have enjoyed some family and friends time and are gearing up to celebrate July 4th in Tyler and then back here with friends! God is good my friends! Carsen received word that he got grants that will pay for most of the remaining semesters for his Engineering degree! We've also been looking at land in the Heath area and are starting to put some second home dreams into reality! 😀 Thankful for God's love and that he keeps me excited for the future and loving my present! Photos from the past week(ish) below! OH- we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary with a night away in Dallas! We picked my dad up from the airport the next day and then met Crew and my mom in Rockwall for lunch with our little guy! Then we went for the rest of the day just the two of us again and enjoyed some of our favorite things without any phones! I got some new workout gear and one amazing gift (see my finger below!) We also booked Crew's second birthday venue while picking my dad up at Love Field! EEKK!!!! 😍✈️
I Y'all. I started running! (Insert gasps here) LOl! I was doing my bible study and this pas week was about beating obstacles by relying on God's strength. I have always loved hiking and walking.. running not so much. I do love the feeling of power and peace I get when I run but I suck at breathing right and then the chest pain usually stops me. I started Pinteresting (because who uses google anymore?) how to become a runner and came across a good get started guide. I am not going to be doing marathons but I will add 4 days of running to my workout plan! I also decided that I'm going to start doing morning workouts again like I did before Crew! 5:30 here I come! We got back from Galveston and looking through pictures I realized that I didn't even think about my bathing suit body and I was really happy with myself. That's a huge plus for me! I just want to keep pushing myself to workout harder and start running! Two days of running down and I feel amazing! Ran with Crew first day and hearing him count down "three, two, one, GO" between intervals was great! Went running alone today and enjoyed some music and God time. Cheers to new goals! I also am loveing how instagram copies snapchat so I'm having fun posting pictures and boomerangs during my run and workouts! Follow me :) username: eliseellexson
Mother's Day Weekend 2017 was incredible. I didn't think my first Mother's Day could be beat.. but yet again God shows that he is even greater than our highs. We started the weekend off low key at our friends house. We had a great, very chill night while the boys played their butts off! Saturday we loaded up the car and went to Tyler State Park with friends! It was gorgeous and such a fun day! We went on a 2 mile hike and Crew walked/ran almost the entire time! He LOVED it! We came back late afternoon and crashed! Sunday was Mother's Day. The day began with Crew standing beside my side of the bed around 8 o'clock waking me up.. :) He grabbed my prayer journal and opened it up to the page when I began praying for him. Wow! That was the best start to Mother's Day I could ask for. Reminded that this little boy that I love more than anything was a gift from God! I also woke up to some goodies and a sweet card. Throughout the week leading up to Mother's Day I was showered with presents! I am so spoiled! We then got ready and went to church! It was a wonderful service and they handed out roses at the end. So sweet! Carsen is all about showering me with my favorites on this day. Oscar Delta was for lunch and it was amazing as always. We got home and I took an amazing 1 HR 30 minute nap! WIN!! After I woke up we played outside, played inside, watched movies, and literally had the best time doing nothing!! It was an amazing weekend and incredible day! I am so in awe of God's plans for my life and constantly catch myself thinking "this is my life?!" I can't wait to celebrate Carsen on Father's Day!!
Hey! It's been a while since I updated. Life has been crazy busy.. and it's been fabulous! Phases in life happen when things feel almost perfect, and i'm very much in that head space right now. My connection to God is better than ever before, and the impact it's having is huge. So many fun memories and awesome news since I last posted. Not everything needs to be shared, but here are some highlights below! - I hit another body goal! I am now stronger than before pregnancy and ALSO back to my pregnancy weight! YAY!!! Muscle weighs more than fat so getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight wasn't a big concern but i'm excited it happened. Turning that pregnancy weight into muscle was my goal. Since January I have really cleaned up my eating and that has helped me get back under my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm currently on a cleanse and eating super healthy to get ready for summer treats and fun! Summer food will be enjoyed so i'm preparing my body for that. HA! -My daddy got me and my sister matching diamond rings! Picture of them is below. We wear them on the same finger, opposite hand. He completely surprised us with them around Easter and he did so good! They are beautiful! Our daddy will forever spoil us I think. -Great news with Carsen's degree in Mechanical Engineering. There may be a way for him to graduate a semester early! It's just a maybe, and if it doesn't happen that's way okay.. so we will see. :) I'm so thankful God has provided for us and has allowed us to live extremely comfortable off my paycheck so Carsen didn't have to work when he went back to school. It's been wonderful having summers and all breaks off together with our little man. I am also really excited for his huge career to kick off and to see how God moves us through it all. -Math STAAR scores for my 5th graders came back and I cried out of excitement. THEY DID SO DANG GOOD!!! They killed it! For my first year teaching 5th.. I feel really good about what the kiddos and I accomplished. The rest of the year is going to be a blast. We have so much in store for the month of May! Some teachers dread May, but I love it! It will be so hard to say goodbye to this group of kids, but I will be excited to see them as 6th graders. -FAMILY/FRIENDS time has been amazing! I have increased girl time and Carsen has increased guy time. We still are getting our date nights in and plenty of family time. I feel like we have our time management down right now and it's been so fun to get everything in each day that keeps our hearts overflowing! -Summer is coming in 5 weeks! SO. MUCH. PLANNED! It's going to a be another blowing and going type summer and i'm so excited for our planned adventures.
-Just some pictures below of the past few weeks! :)
