I’ve had tons of people (through social media, my blog, and real life) ask some good questions!! I’m going to answer the top 5 in this blog post!
Question #1: How are y’all doing?
It’s going to sound really odd and feel free to not understand but we are really, REALLY happy! This journey has lead to us realizing how TRULY and unbelievably blessed we are, and will always be, to have Crew Tanner! After almost a year of trying to get pregnant we soaked in every second of my pregnancy with Crew and when he arrived our world and hearts just exploded with love and SO much fun!! Ive always known how blessed we are to have our son and share this life together, but this journey has given me a even deeper appreciation of being a Mom to my little man. I cannot explain how blessed I feel to have a little boy to love on me down here and have a little 👼🏼 to love on me from above. I feel both daily! 💕 We are incredibly in love with our family of three. We always have been. Does that mean we are ecstatic that we had to go through this? Of course not! BUT it does mean that God used our little angel to draw us closer together and closer to Him. I can not deny being thankful for that! Life feels very very amazing right now. So much positivity has come from our trial. So much!! We feel very thankful and HAPPY!!
Question #2: How are you recovering?
My body feels great!!! My body handled everything beautifully and I’m SO thankful to be feeling like myself so soon again!
Question #3: Will y’all try again? When?
We stoped preventing in December and bam! We were not trying then and hadn’t even really thought about it happening. We tried for almost a year for Crew so we very much had the mindset of things will happen when they are supposed to happen. God showed that the timing of our sweet boy was PERFECT!!!! After that I have never questioned God’s timing and I will not start now. We had decided that we would actively try in January but we were not 100% about that even in December. So we’re not 100% about trying again now haha. We are leaning towards not for a few months at least because we have A LOT going on right now! A lot of really really exciting things happening for our family!!! Carsen graduates in a few months! 🎉🎉🎉 Everything that will happen after that is SOOO exciting and big changes and excitement for our family will consume the rest of this year for sure!! We know we will not be actively trying for a few months. We’ve prayed for God to lead our hearts towards his will and we know His perfect plan will continue to unfold! Crew will be 4 in November and someone asked if I’m worried about the age gap between kids. Our answer is a big fat NO!!!! My sister and I are 8 years apart and we are so close! It’s all about how you parent!! There are also a LOT of pros to having a “big” age gap and we’re all about it! So if we do try for another baby or we adopt I’m VERY excited for the age gap we will have. Again, God’s plans are always perfect!! Having kids close in age has never been a part of our “kid dream” so we are not worried or in a rush at all!!! We’re simply living each day and enjoying our moments slowly and day by day!! There is so much love and happiness happening NOW! It’s so important to enjoy it all!
Question #4: What has helped you stay happy and positive the most during this?
G O D!!!!! He’s used my amazing tribe to keep me happy and laughing and most importantly EXCITED for the future! I have felt so so loved and supported during this! There have been many blessings and sweet connections through this!! God has filled this journey with a ton of blessings and we are so thankful. I have two siblings that were born in heaven and knowing our little angel is up there with them is a HUGE blessing! It makes me so happy and I’m thankful for that! The biggest thing that has allowed my to stay happy is knowing God prevented our angel from a lifetime of pain with the condition of his/her development. Knowing that has allowed us to not have any what ifs or any negative thoughts. Our angel never knew pain, heartbreak, sadness, or anything bad. 👼🏼 has only known God’s love. I CANNOT BE SAD ABOUT THAT!!!!! That would be selfish and as a mom I can’t imagine a better life than spending it being surrounded by happiness and Jesus.
Question #5: How is Crew doing?
Well first of all Crew did not know! I’m really glad we didn’t tell him (thank you again God for giving me that feeling that we shouldn’t) after our first sonogram because explaining that to him would have been difficult I’m sure! Crew wants a puppy right now! He calls our dog Molly his dog and wants another apparently lol. We will see 😝 He hasn’t mentioned wanting a sibling and even though I know he will make a wonderful big brother some day (if that’s God’s will) he will also rock the heck out of being an only child! He has a sister if you ask him anyways 😂 (the daughter of our BFF) He is surrounded by so much love, lots of kiddo friends, and our boy is insanely SPOILED! He will never go without! 😆
