Oops.. I sorta forgot about my blog lol. Y'all February has been so busy and so so fun! March is even busier and i'm so excited for it all! In February my workout routine changed and i'm LOVING my body and my balanced lifestyle! I've had a lot of yummy food and some really great weight workouts and i've even ran the longest distance EVER this month. SUCCESS! I'm also really loving how my swimsuits look on. I'm beyond ready for summer! I love the cold and all but I am ready for a tan and for some summer fun. God and quality time with family/friends has been the focus of our February and it's been a really great one.. even though my sweet boy got the Flu. First time EVER he has gotten sick. Thank you Jesus for fast healing during that process. Life is moving fast and we are very thankful for this stage of life we are in. It's exciting, fun, easy going (knock on wood) and definitely busy!! I would say more and promise to blog again soon, but we have a super busy weekend planned SO... i'll see you when I can :)
Can you believe tomorrow is February!? Wow how fast January went. Loving this year so far and very excited for some planned events coming up. We spent the last weekend of January with family at their lake home. Ya'll. I cant describe how peaceful it is there. Crew was SO excited to spend the weekend with family and I think the weekend lived up to his expectations. :) My parents spoil us every single time we are together. They are just the best!! I had a huge cheat weekend. HAHA! My belly felt it Sunday night but by Monday afternoon the bloat was gone. I love a balanced lifestyle!! Sunday we went brunch and I had queso, mimosas, chips, and pancakes! Then Sunday night when we got together with our church group I had cake. LOL. Talk about bad!! It was so good though and i'm beyond thankful to be in a position with my body that weekends like that can happen and I don't feel guilty about it one bit. I want to stay at 105 lbs and if I gain any because i'm busy building muscle, then thats TOTALLY okay. Some days I wake up under 105 and that, my friends, isn't okay. My trainer said I need to eat 1,800 calories a day to keep up with my daily calorie burn. WHAT? There is no way I can eat that much lol. My watch usually shows that I burn 1,700 calories a day which is over what I eat. I definitely know the problem and why i'm not holding at 105. I'm still playing with my workouts and my food intake to maintain weight. I never thought I would have to worry about dropping WANTED pounds.. but I don't hate it lol. My husband got some really exciting news this weekend about his career and the future. We are praying God leads us in the direction he wants us. He has been so good to us in this journey. When we decided 3 years ago to live off of one paycheck for four years, I was NERVOUS. Ya'll it's been so easy and i firmly believe it's because God wanted us here. We have one more year to go and i'm feeling wonderful about our finances and even more wonderful about our security in life overall. Carsen going back to school was the most amazing choice. Thank you Jesus for leading him there! He is LOVING every bit of it and I really really love seeing him so happy. February, BRING IT! :)
Hey everyone!! I hope 2018 is still treating everyone well. Our family is loving this year already and really taking things slow and making a point to build memories each day. We've been connecting with God a lot more as a family and let me just tell you, He knows how to make a family unit strong and happy! My workouts are becoming SO fun and challenging. I've been running off and on but what I've been most excited about it adding some equipment to my workouts. I've added resistance bands, sliders, and the stair master at the gym to my workouts! Talk. About. BURN! Every single day my body is sore in some area and I really love that feeling. I love knowing my muscles are working and benefiting from my workouts. We have been so back and forth about having another baby. I know that my heart will be able to hold equal love for each child.. but I worry about my time. I enjoy every single precious and crazy moment with my boy. Oh how I cannot get enough of him and his amazing personality. I so worry about losing moments with him when another baby comes.. BUT he has told us he wants a sibling so that is definitely something we are thinking about. I am not 100% yet, but we are starting to talk about when we want to TTC and the end of this year is looking good to us. So please pray for God's direction and his plan. Life with my boys for the past 2 plus year have been everything I could've prayed for in becoming a mommy. If we lived, just the three of us, happily ever after in some woods somewhere I would feel so complete in life. I would never feel like I missed out on anything.. but I know as soon as another baby E came.. I would picture all four of us in those woods. So.. we will see :) Continuing to allow my body to get as fit as possible before another baby is my plan! I had a really healthy and easy pregnancy with my boys... so another easy and healthy pregnancy is my plan! Girl's night at church tonight before a family packed weekend ahead of us! I can't believe January is almost over.. oh but how exciting February is looking! :)
January is flying by! We are staying busy as a family but also really feeling like we have a handle on this thing called life currently. :) Crew is so happy to be back at school and we are also thankful to have our routine back. Date nights every week, girl nights ever week, guy nights ever week, and family date nights ever week make us all happy and keep us all sane haha! I am SO happy to report that since the begining of this year i've gained two pounds! YES! You read that right, i'm excited about gaining weight. I have a new scale that breaks down my body into BMI, weight, and detailed fat %. I was around 104 for the good majority of 2017 and although that was great.. my only body goal this year is to gain muscle. So i'm so happy to report that I gained two pounds of solid muscle! WOO! I can't wait to see the after pictures when I finish my Les Mills challenge. I am sore every single day and i'm loving it. I am currently living a balanced lifestyle. Some days I have coffee in the morning and other days green tea. Some mornings I have my herbalife shakes, and other mornings I have Chick-Fil-A. Some days my apple watch congratulates me on reaching my active calorie goal while my exercise reads 0/60 minutes. Other days my apple watch sees that my heart rate is at 175 for a great 30 minutes of killing it! Some days I eat super clean and healthy, other days we big out on this delicious new pizza joint downtown. Living a balanced lifestyle and still loving what the mirror shows me has me on cloud 9. I'm running around 3 miles each day and feeling strong as ever! I am so thankful for routine that allows me to take care of myself and focus on my health. I'm also grateful that my little boy loves to join me in workouts or leaves me in peace and plays while I kill home workouts. HAPPY HAPPY workout update!! :)
Anyone else just LOVIG 2018?!! Oh my goodness so much productivity and happiness already. Thank you Jesus! Every single day has been filled with some sort of "you go girl" moment. My workouts have with Les Mills have been so fun and I got my new running shoes in which has made running so enjoyable! My muscles have been sore every day of 2018.. I call that a win haha! We spent our first weekend with friends and doing some upgrades to the house! I haven't taken as many photos as usual but that's because I haven't been on my phone as much. Happy about that!! Hope everyone is having a great January! 😃
Happy 2018!! I hope everyone was able to enter the new year happy, healthy, and surrounded by loved ones. We hosted a low key NYE kid friendly party at our house and it was the perfect way to end 2017. 2017 felt like a dream so saying goodbye to it wasn't too exciting but looking forward to all that 2018 has to offer is VERY exciting! The first day of the year is always important to me. I woke up slowly with my boys and enjoyed a yummy cup of coffee. My husband went out and got us Chipotle (MY FAVORITE) and we enjoyed our fireplace because it felt like 3 DEGREES outside! I looooove this weather. So cozy! When my son went down for his nap I busted out my new workout plan from Les Mills. Nina Dobrev (I'm a TVD fanatic) is doing a workout with them and I had to get in on it. I adore her! I did my workout online and then tried out my new resistant bands. LOVED them and the burn! I then ran our stairs to get my heart rate up before gearing up for my first run of 2018. We still have our gym membership and could've headed there BUT I really love staying away from the gym at the first of the year haha. I layered up and went running. The cold felt amazing and it was one amazing run! I didn't look at my watch until I got back home but ended up running longer than I planned which was a win! My running goal for this year is to simply enjoy the time with God and just run. I love the way my legs look when I started adding running to my routine. I think my mom and I will sign up for a 5K just for fun this year but fun is all running will ever be to me. My exercise heart belongs to weights haha. Anyways,I came back inside and did some ab workouts with my gliders on the wood floor. First day of the year I crushed my calorie burn goal and I can't wait to wake up and crush it again tomorrow. Y'ALL. I have never entered a new year so in love with my body and how fit I feel. Entering a new year having zero issues with my body felt amazing and kinda strange haha. That doesn't mean my fitness journey is over. I am so excited to see what my body can do with my new workout routine!! We will see where this takes me! i'm excited and ready to gain more muscle! I will be using this 2018 page to keep myself accountable for my new workout routine and MAYBE updating about life every now and then. I said I was done with my blog and that is true but I also really like to journal and this is the easiest way to get that done. So once again.. we will see where this takes me! :) HAPPY NEW YEAR! Do something each day that leaves you proud! Wake up early, drink water, worship God, and love your journey! God is already way into 2018 and has you in his hands. Don't you worry! Just enjoy and trust in Him.
